Yesterday, 19 December, will be remembered as a day where a partisan witch hunt led members of Congress’ January 6 Committee to file four bogus charges against President Donald J Trump. This committee never should have existed in the first place simply because there is nothing real to investigate. None of these partisan hacks will ever acknowledge the key words ‘peacefully and patriotically’ that the President said on 6 January speech to his supporters.
AMP has shown on Making Sense of the Madness, News Behind the News and Unrestricted Truths that the protestors who did gain access to the Capitol building that day had the Capitol police open the barriers to allow them to access the building. Then, once inside, the Capitol Police are on video telling the protestors that so long as there was no violence they were welcome to make their opinions known. The leaders of the group yelled at their fellow participants ‘No Violence! We have a right to be heard’ and that was all. Acts of destruction were not the actions of those who had been at the President’s speech because when people were entering the Capitol, the President was still addressing his supporters so the question ‘then who were the bad actors?’ certainly needs to be asked.
The charges of the disreputable January 6 Committee are as follows: insurrection, obstruction of an official proceeding, making a false statement to the federal government and conspiracy to defraud the federal government. The simple fact that the vote was unanimous on all the charges let you know this was a kangaroo court which had already decided what its verdict would be. No dissenters… on any one of these charges? Give me a break.
It is not by accident that the charge of ‘insurrection’ has been levied, even though it is preposterous. Nothing President Trump did, not anything he said in his address to his supporters even mildly suggests an attempt to overthrow the government. The real goal is to make this phony charge stick because if it can, President Trump can be barred from holding office again. So there you find your real reason as to why this carnival of falsehoods is taking place.
President Trump may indeed be arrested from the actions of this corrupt collection of cowards. However, when justice is served, the President will be exonerated just like he was when he was twice impeached over equally invalid reasons. AMP looks forward to his vindication.
