President Trump may be the first the first former President indicted for a crime. But, it may be the first time any former high profile figure was charged with a crime after the accuser stated on the record that the alleged affair never happened (see article below). Just in case anyone is a history fan, President Trump is not the first former President charged with breaking the law because in 1871 President Ulysses S. Grant was arrested for driving a horse drawn buggy over the speed limit.
Most of this case is based in ‘evidence’ from former attorney Michael Cohen who is serving jail time for tax fraud, making false statements to a financial institution, unlawful corporate contributions, and excessive campaign contributions. And those were just the offenses he admitted to. This does not seem like the type of legal foundation one wants to base a case on but that does not matter to the left simply because they still are in fear that there could be a 2024 victory for the President. They will do anything, no matter how dishonest, just to try to besmirch his name.
President Trump’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said Thursday that the former President did not commit any crime and vowed to ‘vigorously fight this political prosecution in court’ because the prosecution was ‘distorting laws’ with the intent of extorting Mr Trump and to harm his campaign. Last week in Waco Texas, Mr Trump was defiant at a rally where he disparaged the prosecutors and predicting his vindication. ‘You will be vindicated and proud. The thugs and criminals who are corrupting our justice system will be defeated, discredited and totally disgraced.’
interestingly, some of his rivals for the 2024 nomination already have come to his defense. Former Vice President Mike Pence called indicting a former President ‘deeply troubling’. New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has said there is a sense that the former president is being unfairly attacked while former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has called AG Alvin Bragg’s case an attempt at scoring ‘political points’.
After all the lies, all the Russian collusion hoax and the endless smear attempts, this too shall pass.

Stormy Daniels Denies Affair With Donald Trump: ‘It Never Happened’

January 30, 2018
Porn star Stormy Daniels, who has recently made headlines with reports that she had an affair with Donald Trump before he became president, has issued a statement denying that the affair took place.
In the statement, the authenticity of which has been verified with a representative of Daniels, states, “Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago.”
The statement continues, “The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence on 2006, 2011, 2016, 2017 and now again in 2018. I am not denying this affair because I was paid ‘hush money’ as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened.”
Daniels, who is scheduled to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” following Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday, added, “I will have no further comment on this matter.”
Daniels’ statement seemingly contradicts a purported interview that she gave to In Touch Weekly in 2011, but was only published earlier this month, after reports of the alleged affair surfaced.
In the In Touch piece, Daniels is quoted as saying that there was nothing terribly unique about the lovemaking between her and Trump.
“[The sex] was textbook generic,” Daniels told the publication. It “was nothing crazy. It was one position, what you would expect someone his age to do.”
TheWrap has reached out to a representative of In Touch for comment on Daniels’ statement.
According to In Touch, Daniels told the magazine she met the then-“Apprentice” host at a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada in 2006 — a year after Trump had married Melania and just a few months after the birth of their son, Barron.
Trump’s lawyer once again told In Touch the president “vehemently” denies “any such occurrence, as has Ms. Daniels.”
Prior to the In Touch report, the Wall Street Journal reported that Daniels was paid $130,000 in hush money in October 2016. Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen stated that the adult film performer denied the accusations. But WSJ reporters were not able to verify that directly with Daniels.
Stormy Daniels (going on Kimmel tonight after Trump’s State of the Union) issues a new statement saying she is denying having an affair with Trump not because of a settlement but because “it never happened.”
